I know you won't believe me but I had leftover Easter eggs! Yes you heard correctly there is actually left over chocolate in my house! I also may have been guilty of buying some after Easter as well... well it was on sale! I couldn't possibly pass up a good sale :) It was chocolate remember! :)
So what do I do with all this chocolate? Grab some movies and relax! That didn't get rid of it all. So I have taken to developing a couple of recipes and it got me thinking - if you have some leftover Easter eggs, here are the top 10 chocolate recipes for those "leftover" Easter eggs!
1. Easter Egg Bark
This was made with those candy covered chocolate balls. You could do this with M&M's or Smarties as well.
2. Trail Mix Bark
When you don't have any candy covered chocolate balls - you can add some dried fruit and nuts. For a healthy version! :)
3. Top Deck Cookies
If you don't have any white chocolate left you can just make "choc chip cookies" I would just break up the eggs by hand giving it a "rustic" feel.
4. Hot Chocolate
Add as little or as much as you like :) This is the recipe that I enjoy after making pretty much any chocolate melting recipe! :)
5. Chocolate Apple Pie
Apple pie with chocolate = DELICIOUS!!
5. Easter Egg Rocky Road
If you are on any kind of diet/woe that does not support death by chocolate – move on don’t click! 😉
7. Baileys Chocolate Mousse
Chocolate Mousse with that hint of Baileys - I don't think a dessert really gets more nicer than this! :)
8. Peanut Butter & Choc Chip Shortbread
Peanut butter and chocolate - I am sure that's what they call a match made in heaven?! :)
9. Clinker Rocky Road
I made this way back in 2013 and I still make this at least every few months. It really is a winner with the crowds as well as the perfect gift for any occasion.
10. Baileys Irish Cream
This is a delicious way to finish off those Easter eggs and then you have to make sure you check out the recipes that go with that "leftover" Baileys - ThermoFun Baileys Recipes!
