I am just so blessed to have so many ThermoFun members who become close friends and are willing to share their recipes with me. This Thermomix Maple Butter is lip smacking DELICIOUS!!! Oh and of course you will need a pancake mix to go with it!
With many thanks to Tania Lee! :)
ThermoFunky Tania Lee - "My Canadian in-laws bring us jars of maple butter whenever they come to visit and it's just delicious! It's a 100% maple syrup product and a bit tricky to replicate and make yourself at home, but I'm working on it! It's a similar product to creamed honey. I have come across this 'cheats' version, which when I tried it, found it equally delicious and even easier in the Thermomix.
As the Maple Butter is a more spreadable consistency it can have a wider use than maple syrup. It is delicious as a topping for toast, pancakes, crumpets, scones, waffles, melted on top of roast carrots or mashed sweet potato, as a dip for slices of apple, swirled into a cheesecake.... you get the drift!
It would make the perfect addition to your Mother's Day breakfast table!"
This is the Canadian maple butter that Tania's in-laws gift her.
Ingredients
- 250ml* (330g) pure maple syrup (room temp)
- pinch of salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 100g butter, cubed
Instructions
- Place maple syrup, salt and cinnamon into TM bowl and cook 10 mins / Varoma / speed 1 / MC off, placing simmering basket onto TM lid to prevent spatter.
- Insert butterfly. Add butter and whip 10 mins / speed 4, placing simmering basket onto TM lid to prevent spatter.
- Pour into a clean jar and keep refrigerated. It will firm up further in the fridge.
Notes
• store bought bottles are generally 250ml
Will keep 2-3 weeks refrigerated
Recipe NOT suitable to be halved, due to not enough mixture for the butterfly to whisk properly.

Would this work with nuttelex please?

Hi Pedr, I'm sorry I haven't made it with Nuttelex so I'm not sure. It would certainly be worth a try though! I'd love to hear how you go.

Oh my Yum!! Just made maple butter, didn't wash the bowl, put a shot of coffee from the nespresso machine and a cup of milk, 2 mins, 80 degrees, speed 4.... perfection!! And the maple butter is pretty good too!! :)

ohhhh I LOVE the idea of the shot of coffee to help 'clean the bowl'! Thanks Cherie! :)
