    Cauliflower Mash - Week 10, 2016

    Jump to recipe

Okay I'll admit it - this whole cauliflower mash thing - had me very sceptical!  I'm really not a huge fan of cauliflower!  Tania, a lovely ThermoFunky member was nagging me to try it!  My response was "Do I really have to" - in my best whiney 2yr old tantrum voice!  Well reluctantly and eventually I made it!   Now - I won't say I am ditching a typical mash but this thermomix cauliflower mash is really nice in a surprising way.  Yeah, Yeah, Yeah okay Tania you were right! .....  ;)   Many thanks for sharing your recipe.  :)

    CauliflowerMashUpdate

This is a tasty alternative to mashed potato. The cauliflower turns a very creamy texture and is great if you follow a LCHF way of eating.

It was lovely served beside a really nice piece of bbq steak - but would also work well for a shepherd's pie style dish or even to compliment your normal "meat and 3 veg" dinner.

    Notes

    The cauliflower mash freezes well.

Very easy and tasty version of cauliflower mash - I served this with the Krunchy Funky Chicken (using tenderloins), green beans and leftover gravy, and the other half was suitably impressed. Looking forward to using the leftover mash for a pie crust with leftover pulled smokey BBQ brisket . Love that your recipes are so versatile, thank you Leonie

This is a really tasty recipe. I really love mashed potato, and this cauliflower mash is just as delicious! I'm going to try it on the curried shpherd's pie next time.
