I don't understand why I still sign up for recipe newsletters when we have pinterest! This one arrived in my inbox and I thought to myself - Teriyaki Salmon - mmmmmmmm Thermomix Teriyaki Salmon - mmmmmmmmm. Well as you can imagine this - well maybe you can't till you try it, but it is amazingly delicious!
A very simple to prepare recipe with an absolutely sensational tasty sauce!
This recipe was adapted from BBC Food Recipes
Ingredients
- 1 lime, rind and juice
- 2cm fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 small red chilli
- handful fresh coriander
- 10g olive oil
- 50g dark soy sauce
- 30g maple syrup
- 900g boiling water from kettle
- 4 salmon fillets
- bok choy
- other vegetables of choice
Instructions
- Place rind into TM bowl and zest 5 sec / speed 9.
- Add ginger, garlic, chilli, coriander and oil into TM bowl and chop 3 sec / speed 8.
- Add lime juice, soy sauce and maple syrup and cook 1 min / 100°C / speed 2.
- In a container or zip lock bag, marinate the salmon with the teriyaki sauce for
30 mins if time permits.
No need to wash TM bowl. - Pour boiling water into TM bowl.
- Using tap water, wet and squeeze out baking paper and then lay flat on the Varoma tray. Twist corners of baking paper to make a ‘dish’.
- Place salmon fillets onto baking paper on Varoma tray, pour any teriyaki sauce still in container/bag on to the salmon.
- Place assembled Varoma onto TM lid and cook 15 mins / Varoma / speed 1.
- Place bok choy in bottom of Varoma and continue steaming the salmon and bok choy 5 mins / Varoma / speed 2.
- To serve, place salmon on top of bok choy and spoon a small amount of sauce over salmon.
