ThermoFun - French Onion Dip with Cream Cheese Recipe

    Jump to recipe

One of my favourite commercial dips before having a Thermomix was a French Onion dip.  I have finally managed to replicate this dip using my own spices and make it from scratch.  Just like a bought one without all the artificial ingredients!  :)

Love this dip.....so easy and quick and tastes way better than one that is bought! I love how I had all the ingredients in my pantry/fridge (well the two ingredients needed). Wish I had made this earlier.

Great taste. It was a bit harder / thicker consistency than I was looking for so added some sour cream. Perfect !

Just whipped this up for New Year's Eve tonight! Very easy to do, although I did have to purchase some new spices (just means I'll have to make it again!) I couldn't find garlic powder so substitued garlic flakes and left out the mustard powder - couldn't find that either. But as a HUGE lover of French onion dip I give this a thumbs up! Great to know exactly what I'm eating

Finally I found a great French onion dip recipe! Little confused about the dry mustard though so left it out. Is it mustard powder or something else??

Loved this. Will blitz herbs first next time as a little grainy but other than fantastic.
