    Double Chocolate Banana Cake - Week 28, 2015

    This is such a lovely cake oh and sooooo chocolatey too!  :)  Even better that it is so quick and easy to whip up and be out of the oven in half an hour!  It also has no oil or butter but the apple sauce makes it very moist.

    I think we could even go as far as saying it must be healthy as it has bananas in it!  ;)

    Thermomix Double Chocolate Banana Cake - ThermoFun - Week 28

    Ingredients

    • 3 medium ripe bananas
    • 100g brown sugar
    • 150g apple sauce
    • 1 teaspoon ThermoFun Vanilla Bean Paste
    • 1 egg
    • 150g plain flour
    • 50g cacao powder
    • 1 teaspoon bi-carb soda
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 150g chocolate chips + handful extra for sprinkling on top of cake

    Instructions

    1. Pre heat oven to 180°C. Line a deep slice tin approx. 26 x 18cm with baking paper.
    2. Place banana, sugar, apple sauce, vanilla and egg into TM bowl and combine 10 sec / speed 6.
    3. Add flour, cacao, bi-carb soda and salt and mix 10 sec / speed 5. Scrape down and mix 5 sec / speed 5.
    4. Add choc chips and mix 10 sec / speed 3 / Reverse. Combine with a spatula to ensure all choc chips are mixed through.
    5. Pour into prepared tin and sprinkle a handful of choc chips on top.
    6. Bake for 25-30 mins.
    7. Allow to cool in tin.
    8. Don't eat all at once!

      Made this for my kiddies for school snacks was really yummy and freezes well. Had to cook it abit longer then suggested time but totally worth it. Great cake when u need to use up bananas that are turning brown.
