It's almost time for dinner and I'm staring at the Thermomix Varoma thinking I have to do something with the chicken in the fridge!
Then it dawns on me - Why not complete the January ThermoFun Club Members 'Cook Off' Challenge and do a Lemon & Chilli marinade on the chicken and cook in the Varoma.
So that's the story of the Lemon & Chilli Chicken dinner at our house! :)
I LOVE steaming chicken in the Varoma as it makes it just so juicy and moist!

I did it tonight with sweet chilli sauce instead of chilli. I can't compare as I have not made the original, however my 13 year old son loved it and wants it again! I loved it too, I just put a bit of extra sweet chilli on once served. Chicken just fell off the bone too.

Sounds delicious Yvette. I will definitely try this myself too. Have you tried making my sweet chilli sauce too? It's delicious!

I just tried this out in the TM5 ... delicious but the chicken only needed 25 mins with 1litre of hot water! I also put wet baking paper down in the varoma (leaving some holes clear for steam) to keep all the delicious chilli and garlic! Yummy!!

Anna yesterday I took delivery of my new TM5 so I will put this on my list to test first! Thanks for your feedback. :)

Hi Leonie just got the new model and proceeded to cook the above, put the 1.8 litres in the bowl and chicken in Veroma, 20 minutes later it was still cold so it wasn't cooking, went back and followed a chicken Receipe out of the book and was fine and only put 500ml in basin, how do I manually heat it up?

Hi Dearne - As yet I haven't got the new TM5 so haven't tried this recipe in it. However whenever varoma temperature is required and water (for the TM31) I always start off with hot water from the kettle. Thinking about it too - you could cut the water down to 1 litre. In fact I will change the recipe now to say 1 litre. When I get the new model this will be first on my list to make! :)

This is on as we speak - it's so hot here and didn't feel like cooking - but this is so easy and it looks delicious!
