Now you might be thinking just another hamburger but I assure you this is WAY BETTER! For those that are LCHF take out the breadcrumbs and the bun but otherwise this is an amazing recipe to have on hand when you don't want a lot to eat or want to eat with everyone. This thermomix mozzarella burger has some amazing flavour and if you are feeling adventurous add a little ThermoFun Spice Mix of your choice in as well.
I have really been enjoying these burger recipes this year and how a simple meal can be made so flavoursome and with all that has happened this year the humble burger has been the 'go-to' for dinner more times than I care to count!
And if you are looking for an extra condiment then you know what I am going to say - BACON JAM! :)
Ingredients
- 1 slice of bread, torn into quarters
- 130g mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- ½ onion, peeled
- ½ cup mushrooms, fresh
- 500g beef mince
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoon mixed herbs
- ¼ cup olive oil
Instructions
- Place bread into TM bowl and crumb 4 sec / speed 6. Set aside.
- Place cheese into TM bowl and grate 6 sec / speed 6. Set aside with breadcrumbs.
- Place garlic, onion and mushrooms into TM bowl and chop 3 sec / speed 5.
- Add mince, egg, breadcrumbs, tomato paste, mixed herbs and cheese and mix 15 sec / speed 5 / Reverse. Scrape down and repeat.
- Divide mixture evenly to form 6 x 2cm thick patties.

YUM! We loved these... no mushrooms in the fridge and we just used the COON sliced cheese we had on the top and YUMMMMMMMMMO. Fussy ASD Miss 6 ate two half sized ones (On their own with salad in the side... no cheese on top!!)

What a great way to hide mushrooms and the cheese mixed in gives the patty a really nice extra taste.

This is a beautiful variation on the humble burger. Simple to make and easy to adapt for LCHF lifestyle - leave out bread and serve as a deconstructed burger. Thanks Leonie
