
This recipe was given to me by a very close friend named Gayle about 20 years ago! Both my kids and hubby love it to the point that it has been a regular on our menu ever since. When the kids were little it was their number one favourite for years and years. So of course as soon as I got my Thermomix it was one of the things that I just had to convert to be made in the TM!
Ingredients
- 1kg sausages
- 1000g boiling water from kettle
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 onion, peeled and halved
- 20g olive oil
- 400g tomatoes, can or fresh, diced
- 400g tomato soup
- 1 tablespoon Mixed Herbs, dried
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- pasta to serve
Instructions
- Pour boiling water into TM bowl. Place sausages in Varoma tray and deep dish. Place assembled Varoma onto TM lid and cook 15 mins / Varoma / speed 2.
- Remove Varoma and set aside for sausages to cool slightly. Discard water.
- Cook pasta in ThermoServer Click Here for directions.
- While pasta is cooking, continue on to make your sauce.
- Place garlic, onion and oil into TM bowl and chop 3 sec / speed 5.
- Scrape down and sauté 5 mins / Varoma / speed 1 / MC off.
- Add tomatoes, soup and mixed herbs and mix 5 sec / speed 4 / Reverse.
- Remove skins from sausages and slice into rings.
- Add sausages and cook 10 mins / 100°C / speed 1 / Reverse.
- Add sour cream and stir through with aid of spatula.
- Serve over pasta.
