    Tuna Vol-Au-Vents – March 2014

    Tuna Vol-Au-Vents – March 2014

    Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon ThermoFun Curry Blend
    • 50g grated cheese, cubed
    • 1 onion, peeled and halved
    • 20g olive oil
    • 3 tablespoon cornflour
    • 400g milk
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 small can corn kernels
    • 425g tuna, drained
    • small vol-au-vent cases

    Instructions

    1. Make Curry Blend and set aside.
    2. Preheat oven to 180°C.
    3. Place cheese into TM bowl and grate 10 sec / speed 9. Set aside.
    4. Place onion and oil into TM bowl and chop 3 sec / speed 5. Scrape down and sauté 5 mins / Varoma / speed 1 / MC off.
    5. Add cornflour, milk, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon curry blend and corn kernels and mix 10 sec / speed 4 / Reverse. Scrape down.
    6. Cook 10 mins / 90°C / speed 1 / Reverse.
    7. Add tuna and cook 5 mins / 90°C / speed 1 / Reverse.
    8. Place vol-au-vents onto a baking tray and pour tuna mixture into each one.
    9. Sprinkle with cheese and place in oven for 10 mins.

    Notes

    This mixture is also great served in large vol-au-vents for a meal, served with a lovely green salad.
