If you’re anything like me, you have a whole folder of recipes to try and before I created ThermoFun I would stock pile them in the “to try later” pile, without writing who gave me the recipe. This sadly is one of the stockpiled ones.
If this is your recipe PLEASE contact me so I can credit you, because it is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!!
9th May 2016 – Update from Skye pointing me to where the recipe is from! Thank You Skye. http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/desserts-sweets-recipes/easy-peasy-waffles/37011
Now the question …. What do you top your Waffles with?
Next time you have waffles try them with my Maple Butter, or Lime and Ginger Curd or Passionfruit Curd or Lemon Curd. For yummy jam to put on your waffles try my Berry Cherry Jam, Port & Fig Jam, Quince and Vanilla Jam or my Monkey Jam recipes.

oh Skye thank you so much! Yes that’s it!! I have now updated the recipe to state that! 🙂
I tried this but used vanilla paste. Are they meant to be soft like funny looking pan cakes?? Kids liked them but I thought they should be crispy??
Hi Sage, I’d suggest that they may’ve needed just a few more mins of cooking to crisp them up.
I cook all mine let them cool on a cake rack then pop them in a toaster to crisp them up
Very easy, simple yet delicious recipe!
Thanks Barb! Pleased you enjoyed it! 🙂
Just tried your recipe, super easy. My family wanted sweet chocolate ones so I doubled the sugar and added a heap teaspoon of cocoa powder. They cooked perfectly and were very fluffy and crisp on the outside. This will definitely be a recipe I’ll cook again.
Thank you.
I love this recipe and have made it almost every weekend for the past year. I didn’t have any milk this weekend as I had used it all up making yogurt! So I substituted yogurt for the milk and the result was great! Lovely and fluffy! Thanks Leonie for another smile favourite!
Thank you Trish! That’s fabulous to know. So pleased your family enjoy it every weekend! Keep smiling! 🙂
Enjoyed these waffles. Nice and light. Used half wholemeal and white SR flour.
Great to hear! Thank you Dorothy. 🙂
