So delicious!!! Made this tonight & the family loved it. The flavours were perfect. I didn’t have ginger so I added in some cinnamon for flavour and it was great. So quick, easy & healthy! Will be a regular meal for us. Thank you.
thermofun says
Thanks Lisa - great to hear the cinnamon worked well with it too. :)
Louise says

I needed a quick dinner with minimal fuss. This is it. It’s such a great, healthy, delicious and versatile option. And, I was able to help the guy at Woolworths offload the large outer lettuce leaves he was about to throw away.
thermofun says
Thank you Anne-marie! Pleased you enjoy it! lol and good on you for helping Mr Woolworths out too! ;)

Finally a thermo SCB recipe that we really enjoyed!! I think the trick is using the steamer basket for the mince so its not mushy.
Served it with bean vermicelli to bulk it up a bit 😀
thermofun says
So pleased you enjoyed it Shelley and that you have found a winner! :)
Malia says
Cooked it tonight. I was concerned my 5 and 3 year old might complain. It was a hit. 5yo requested we have it every night for dinner from now on. Well done!

Great all rounder recipe - delicious with lettuce or rice or noodle (or on rice and lettuce!). Also good for fussy eaters who don't like to eat big chunks of veggies. I'll be sure to make this again!
thermofun says
Yes I agree to all of it Anna :D Glad your family enjoyed it!

Still loving this one! It is one of hubby's favourite meals. He even tells me when the freezer stash has been depleted lol.

Liz H says
This is a regular on our dinner rotation but I use chicken mince instead of pork. Absolutely love how fresh it tastes and the recipe makes enough to put another serve in the freezer (which defrosts really well!) Thanks Leonie ♥
thermofun says
Thank you Liz :)
Marion says
Pork San Choy Bau. Made slightly different. No carrot so used capsicum and celery - slightly wetter mix so needed to thicken with cornflour and cook a bit longer. Added fresh turmeric as we have lots just out of the garden. No lettuce so served over Asian noodles. Served with fresh coriander, chopped spring onion and lime squeezed over top. Very tasty dish.
thermofun says
Thanks Marion. I love the idea of serving it over Asian noodles for a change. :)
Marion says
I served it over rice the next time. Good too.
thermofun says
Thanks Marion - works perfectly over rice - great for the times we don't have lovely large crisp lettuce leave on hand!
Gillian says
I made this tonight. Made a bigger size so doubled the ingredients and used the Chinese Cooking Wine instead of white and it was delicious. We had not had it before so were a bit unsure of how we were going to eat it with the Lettuce leaves so I made Hokkien Noodles on the side. They were great to eat after catching all the mince that fell from our lettuce while eating.
thermofun says
That's so great to hear Gillian. It is a really lovely meal :)
Carly says
Hi, after point 2, do you set asude the mince mixture? Thanks
thermofun says
No Carly no setting aside required for this recipe! :)
