OMG … Leonie this was scrumdidliumptious! How can anyone not enjoy broccoli, especially when combined with cheese. Very tasty and flavoursome as I said when I tested it for you. Have made it 3 times since then and we all enjoy it. ?
Thank you Jane for being one of my willing recipe testers! 🙂
Dear Leonie, I made this soup today, Friday, and it is very good. Easy and quick to make and the taste is ritch and creamy. I used appenzeller cheese, and that was not smart, because this cheese doesn’t melt easely. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. Kind regards, Anna
Thank you Anna – I’m pleased you enjoyed it! 🙂
Yum! I’ve made it twice, now. The first time I didn’t have any cream and used extra milk instead and it was delicious. Today I came home from a job cold, wet and hungry and made it again as I wanted something to warm me up. Added a bit extra cayenne this time.. No complaints in my house!
Great to hear Sherry. 🙂
We try to enjoy ‘Meat free Monday’ so receiving this recipe was great timing! This is something I wouldn’t normally make… But I had broccoli Which needed to be used up, so I thought ‘Why not?’!
I cut the stalks and added them in the first batch of cooking and then (Using the instructions in the EDC) blitzed them before cooking the other ingredients for 15 minutes.
What a YUMMY soup. Very filling and even my Mum enjoyed the leftovers the next day for lunch (Aren’t I a good daughter!?) LOL
Thanks Leonie- another winner winner!!
Pleased you enjoyed it Leisa and yes you are a good daughter too!! lol! 🙂
I just made this soup for dinner tonight. It is so simple and so delicious.. I didn’t add any salt and pepper to it, and didn’t think it needed it. Perfect for a wet winter’s evening. I think it would be quite nice with some chicken or bacon through it. Will try that next time. Thanks for a great recipe!
Thanks Annette – yes chicken or bacon would work – just be mindful of the maximum level on your TM bowl. 🙂
Loved this recipe. I ended up processing the soup to make it smoother and it worked great. My 1 year old nephew enjoyed it too.
Thanks Darra – Pleased you and your nephew enjoyed it. 🙂
Yummy! Family enjoyed it. Ill just reduce or leave out the mustard next time. Personally I don’t think it needs it. Lovely, warming soup.
Thanks Megan – yes the mustard can be optional if you prefer. 🙂
With broccoli in season right now, and the kids loving anything cheesey, this was the perfect soup. Just delicious! Thanks!
Thanks Tania great to hear! 🙂
